Big First Quarter for ABO Suite!

AUBURN, WA – May 9th, 2018 – Blood Bank Computer Systems, Inc. (BBCS) today announces its biggest first quarter yet for ABO Suite™. Four clients have gone live in the first quarter of 2018; totaling six in the last six months.
Fueled by a robust feature set and a national contract with the industry leading GPO, ABO Suite continues to gain market share with US based blood centers. The recent go live of blood centers in Florida and Missouri build confidence that the system ready and capable of meeting the needs of the industry.

With the recent addition of LifeServe Blood Center and Kentucky Blood Center, BBCS has become the leading provider of Blood Establishment Computer Software to Blood Centers of America, the largest member-based blood center GPO in the United States. “BBCS has clearly earned a reputation for developing quality blood establishment computer systems and we’re confident they will be able to fully meet our needs,” said Bill Reed, Kentucky Blood Center.
The implementation of NuPlasma, a startup transfusable plasma collection facility, along with the back-to-back implementations at St. Mary’s Hospital, Michigan Blood, and Coastal Bend Blood Center, really shows the true effectiveness of the Implementation Services provided by BBCS and speaks volumes to the versatility of ABO Suite.
“Over a third of our current users of Blood Bank Control System have elected to migrate to ABO Suite,” said Brian Forbis, Vice President of BBCS. “Clients are finding the upgrade meaningful and are eager to take advantage of the paperless donor center in both online and offline settings.” Currently 7 migrations have occurred for existing clients and 4 more are planned for 2018.
BBCS has committed to expanding ABO Suite and plans to release ABO Wheels, Version 1.2 and ABO Pulse, Version 2.0 in 2018. Both of these products will be take center stage at the ADRP Conference coming up later this month and at the annual AABB CTTXPO in October.
