PRIMARY PURPOSE & ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
The Marketing & Events Specialist reports directly to the VP of Business Development and is responsible for supporting BBCS’s marketing presence, event coordination, website content management, and travel logistics. This role focuses on enhancing brand consistency, executing high-quality events, and supporting customer outreach efforts.
The role’s responsibilities include the following:
- Coordinate and participate in BBCS tradeshows, conferences, and customer-facing events, including planning, logistics, and on-site support and execution.
- Manage event-related logistics including registrations, materials, booth coordination, and internal alignment.
- Maintain and create website content consistent with the BBCS brand, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Establish, maintain, and update sales and marketing collateral aligned with BBCS branding standards.
- Create and support content development for social media, email marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for team members attending events, client meetings, and conferences, including flights, lodging, and itineraries.
- Maintain sales and marketing activity tracking and reporting using CRM tool.
- Gain knowledge of the BBCS client base and the blood center industry through project participation and project leadership.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
As an employee within BBCS, this position will participate with the other staff members to contribute to and support the corporate goals, business plan, standard operating procedures and Corporate Quality Policy, and thus requires personal and professional integrity and work ethics.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timely follow-through.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with event coordination, marketing support, or administrative logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with project management approaches and tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- A working knowledge of marketing tools, content management systems and CRM platforms is preferred, such as Canva/HubSpot/PandaDoc, etc.
- High level of professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
EDUCATION:
- BA/BS or equivalent relevant experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Travel required up to 25% for tradeshows, events, and internal meetings.
