LifeServe Blood Center and Kentucky Blood Center Go Live on ABO Suite™
AUBURN, WA – April 8th, 2019 – Blood Bank Computer Systems, Inc. (BBCS) today announces two new clients have gone live on ABO Suite™. LifeServe Blood Center and Kentucky Blood Center completed a successful transition to ABO Suite, including conversion of all legacy data. They also took advantage of Optimize Technology Group’s (OpTech) Cloud Hosting.
“Our team is feeling great after making the move to ABO Suite! Our donors are also really enjoying the convenience of ABO QuickPass, which gives them the ability to fill out their Donor History Questionnaire at home,” says Stacy Sime, CEO of LifeServe Blood Center.
“We are receiving great feedback from staff and donors alike on the improved paperless donation process. We look forward to continuing to streamline and improve the donor experience with ABO Suite,” says Bill Reed, CEO of Kentucky Blood Center.
LifeServe Blood Center is now the 2nd largest user of ABO Suite and serves 124 hospitals in the Iowa region. Kentucky Blood Center is the largest independent community blood center in Kentucky, providing services to more than 70 hospitals.
“The partnership between LifeServe, Kentucky and BBCS throughout this project was outstanding. This achievement provides for future collaboration as we work together to bring important technology advancements to the blood banking industry. With both facilities being members of Blood Centers of America, this continues support of our industry first BCA National contract; an important program to provide cost-savings back to the US blood banking community,” says Brian Forbis, Vice President of BBCS.
The blood centers utilized BBCS Implementation Services as well as on-site support for their go-lives. Both the conversion and implementation processes were handled simultaneously. The combined projects took a total of 13 months to successfully complete, with both blood centers going live within 2 weeks of each other.
